The reunited Police were expected to tape the show in an intimate setting for the newly relaunched MTV series but it has been postponed with no reason given and no new date announced, so the postponement might coincide with the release of the new Guns N' Roses album.
If they had taken the stage for the taping, the Herald said that only a handful of invited guest would have been allowed to watch the show. We suspect that they just couldn't lineup Eddie Murphy for a guest slot on this date, but that's just speculation. It's heartbreaking to think that Sting won't have the opportunity to dust off his beloved lute.
