The new DVD is the bands first release for Jive Records/Zomba Label Group, and it includes a 20-song complete live concert from Dusseldorf, Germany that features Apocalypticas original compositions as well as their re-imaginings of classic material by Metallica, Sepultura, and more, not to mention their version of Griegs well-loved piece In The Hall Of The Mountain King. Also included on the disc is an Apocalyptica video collection showcasing the bands ability to integrate vocalists into their music, including collaborations with Ville Valo (HIM), Lauri Ylonen (Rasmus), Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine) and Max Cavalera (Sepultura/Soulfly). A short EPK shows the in-studio recording of the song Repressed featuring Tuck and Cavalera, each of whom give exclusive interviews about the making of the song and their love for the band.
This DVD will tide Apocalyptica fans over until the group drops their new full-length album later this year. Many metal and rock insiders believe the next release will herald the groups breakthrough in this country from underground sensation to household name.
