From December 5th to January 15th, fans were able to enter the I Dig Incubus Contest by logging onto www.idigincubus.com. There they could download previously shot footage of the band and other digital assets, which they were able to play with and edit as they saw fit. After reviewing all entries, the band selected five top finalists. The winning video - which is scheduled to be announced by Incubus on February 13 during a live webcast at the bands Wiltern show in LA- will become the official video for "Dig," and will be serviced to video and online outlets worldwide.
The promotion spotlights the popularity of user-generated content and the bands eagerness to find new ways to interact and connect with fans. Were extremely excited to have our fans be involved with this part of the creative process, said lead singer Brandon Boyd and guitarist Mike Einziger. There have been some amazing submissions and we cant wait to see who gets chosen as the winner. [see full story to check out the finalists]
