Peter Hook fired the first shot in the battle when he announced that the band had broken up. Not so, said singer Bernard Sumner and drummer Stephen Morris earlier this month in a statement. And Hook has responded with a threat of legal action.
Hook took to his Myspace blog on Friday to respond to Sumner and Morris statement that the band was still very much together. Under the heading of "Disappointment!" Hook wrote, "never assume anything! This group has SPLIT UP! you are no more new order than i am! you may have two thirds but dont assume you have the rights to do anything NEW ordery cos you dont ive still got a third! But am open to negotiation."
He had a lot more to say and not as kind as that - read it all right here
