Cornell took to his Myspace page on Monday to inform fans that they were not talking to him. He writes: "Hello this is Chris Cornell. Over the past several months, several incidents have taken place where others felt the need to engage in activities pretending to be me. I have been wanting to make a clear statement to fans, friends and anyone this may concern; under no circumstances, under any name or address do I or have I ever communicated or corresponded with anyone online or otherwise."
So does that mean the Myspace blog post wasn't from him either? In other news, Cornell addressed some recently missed shows. He, or someone calling himself Chris Cornell, wrote: "I also wish to apologize to the fans in Denver and Salt Lake City for the postponed shows. This was due to a scheduling oversight by a representative that no longer works with me. I look forward to making these dates up in the fall. "
