On May 1st, Truckee Brothers are giving away their single, "Mayday," to Internet radio stations and Podcasts free of charge. This act of rock philanthropy will circumvent the US Government's royalty hike that covers all music except for direct deals with copyright holders. The rate hike aims to put Internet radio out of business by charging more in royalties than ad revenue could legitimately cover. "Mayday" will be available exclusively online as it is illegal to repeatedly use the term "mayday" on terrestrial radio. The song will be available as a free download for one day only via the Truckee Brothers' website. The band is unveiling their revved-up and revamped website at truckeebrothers.com on the same day, so it will be an excellent opportunity to visit their website and check out this larger than life rock group in the digital flesh. - Click here for the Full Story
