We're very excited to announce that legendary singer / songwriter JD Souther (Best of My Love, Victim of Love, Heartache Tonight, New Kid in Town) will present this year's Gibson New Musician Award. JD will also conduct a Master's Class for a select group of HATCHfest attendees and participate in many of the festival's other activities. JD's participation in HATCH comes on the heels of his upcoming CD release this fall. Master Luthier Ren Ferguson will also be conducting a Masters Class at the Gibson Guitar Factory in Bozeman. Other musicians and music industry executives scheduled to attend and participate in HATCHfest include Brian Corona, VP, Atlantic Records, Ray Gmeiner, VP, Virgin Records, Shawn O'Connell, President/CEO of Music Allies and the bands Goat, LifeSavas and Eightrack Mind, plus, surprise guests!
HATCHfest is finalizing this year's elite group of notable jurors and panelists, and we'll announce them as they are confirmed. Major stars and personalities are increasingly participating in this rapidly expanding festival, including Jackson Browne, The Samples, Tony Furtado, Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction, as well as Peter Fonda, Michael Keaton, Bill Pullman, Jeff Bridges, Huntley Ritter, William Fichtner and many others.
