Based on the singles clubs of the early eighties, where unheard songs were quickly pressed onto seven inch vinyl and distributed throughout independent record stores, the Digital Singles Club has updated the practice by taking advantage of the internet, as well as Yep Roc's access to mass quantities of unheard music, to make new music available in a quick and easy way. Each week, the Yep Roc A&R department will chose one song, regardless of whether the band is signed to Yep Roc or not, to be posted on the Digital Singles Club webpage. All tracks can be purchased for just $ 0.99.
