On February 11th, 2006, James Marshall was tragically injured in round 6 of the Amp'd Mobile Supercross series in San Diego. Running in 5th place in Heat #2, James went over the bars through a tricky step up--step down combination and was subsequently hit by two trailing riders. The impact of the incident left Marshall with broken C2, C5, and C6 vertebrate and a broken pelvis. James was instantly paralyzed and was sent to the ICU at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He is currently back at his home in Houston with his family continuing his rehabilitation. The cost of medical care for James has been overwhelming to him and his family.
"James Marshall is a great guy and a talented motocross rider. He has been a friend to Jgermeister and we are eager to help raise money to cover some his medical expenses." says Rick Zeiler, Director of Marketing for Jgermeister, "We have pulled together our friends and resources to create an event that will hopefully help."
Jgermeister has joined forces with sponsored bands and So Cal favorites (hed) Planet Earth and Mower. 100% of ticket profits will go to James along with auction proceeds. Silent auction sponsors include Schecter Guitars, Peavey, Vestal Watch and Shift. New sponsors are stepping up with cool items every day so bring your wallets!
Founded in 1994, HED PE was the brainchild of front man Jared Gomes, who aspired to create a band that fused the region's long-standing punk rock heritage with G-Funk-inflected hip-hop. In 2006, HED PE have once again re-invented themselves for the release of Back 2 Base X, their debut album on lifestyle record label Suburban Noize Records. Recorded live as a band in the studio, the album provides an organic, fresh sound devoid of the computer tricks that currently plagues music. Already gearing for tours this year, HED PE is eager to share its new sound with the planet.
San Diego-based powerhouse Mower continues its all-out assault with the release of is new album "Not For You" on Suburban Noize Records. Launched in the late 90's the group quickly took San Diego by storm with an onslaught of insane live performances that left audiences stunned at the amount of energy. With several nationwide tours to their credit and another tour ahead, Mower has always maintained a close grass roots contact with their fans. The members of Mower perfectly embody the indie spirit that goes where the raging music takes them!
