In 2004, Dan contributed a track to the compilation of songs inspired by Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, an album which won a Dove Award from the Gospel Music Association. In addition, Dan began writing and producing for other artists.
It wasn't until a meeting with Rock Ridge's Derr earlier this year that he thought to release some of the material that had been accumulating. "Most of these songs were recorded almost immediately as inspiration struck, in the extra bedroom of my old home. There isn't always time to overthink your performances, but to me that's often a good thing", says Lavery. Listen to the first track, "Say That You Love Me" at the full story link.
