KFC Fall Out

(PR) Taking a well-deserved break from the road to begin recording their first album since From Under the Cork Tree (Island Records), which received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, Chicago-based Fall Out Boy members Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman have signed on to a petition calling on KFC to end its suppliers' worst abuses of chickens. The petition is sponsored by peta2-the world's largest youth animal rights organization. Andy-who went vegan three years ago-and Joe signed the petition at a concert headlined by rock legend and longtime peta2 pal Morrissey in London.

Andy and Joe urge KFC to "eliminate the worst abuses that chickens suffer in the factory farms and slaughterhouses of its suppliers, including crippling injuries because of cruel breeding practices and the overuse of drugs, having their throats slit while still conscious, and being dunked into tanks of scalding-hot water while they are still alive and able to feel pain." Visitors to peta2.com can sign their names to the petition as well. - Click here for the Full Story
