. (antiMusic) Mastodon fans have been eagerly awaiting the band's major label debut 'Blood Mountain,' which should hit stores later this year. But the fans don't have to wait that much longer to get a taste of the album. They announced on their MySpace page that they will be previewing a brand new song this week. "This Friday, July 7th everyone will get to hear 'Crystal Skull' off our forthcoming album Blood Mountain [on MySpace]" they write in a blog. "The song features additional vocals from our good friend Scott Kelly (guitar/vocals) of Neurosis."

And while they are using their MySpace page to reach fans they haven't forgotten about their official online presence. They concluded the message with this announcement, "We'll also be launching our new website this week at www.mastodonrocks.com keep checking for that."
