Being on the road is where we like to be, says lead singer Dez Fafara. The European tour was killer. Out there, meeting our fans and playing the heaviest music we can is our idea of a good time. DevilDriver is touring in support of their sophomore album, The Fury of Our Makers Hand, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboards Heatseekers chart and was called a mad masterpiece by Revolver Magazine. The band recently put together a video for End of the Line which showcases DevilDrivers notoriously relentless live show. The footage was culled from 54 Gwar US dates and 17 Lamb of God European dates.
The follow up to 2003s self-titled debut, The Fury of Our Makers Hand is a powerful return for DevilDriver. Featuring twelve blistering tracks that dabble in black, thrash, traditional and death metal, The Fury of Our Makers Hand (6/05 Roadrunner Records) is DevilDriver at their best. Led by the commanding first single Hold Back the Day, debuted at No. 117 on Billboards Top 200 album charts and No. 17 on the Top Hard Rock chart. Additionally the album soared to No. 1 on the Metal/College Radio and Specialty charts while the video for Hold Back The Day continues to receive repeated spins on MTV2 and FUSE.
DevilDriver formed in 2002 after the death of frontman Dez Fafaras former project, Coal Chamber. In 2003 they released their self-titled, debut album and participated in the 2004 Ozzfest tour. Recently the band toured with Machine Head and Superjoint Ritual. DevilDriver is singer Dez Fafara, drummer John Boecklin, bassist Jon Miller and guitarists Jeffrey Kendrick and Mike Spreitzer.
