The M3 Sunset Sessions, presented in conjunction with URB, will take place on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, and will feature live performances by Coldcut, Lady Sovereign, Jamie Lidell, Hot Chip, She Wants Revenge, The Juan Maclean, Vitalic, The National Trust, DJ Marlboro and Kudu. These multi-media extravaganzas are held outside on the beach behind the Doubletree Surfcomber Hotel (1717 Collins Ave.), 5-11pm.
Coldcut's performance at M3 will be their first live show in North America since 2000, and will feature material from Sound Mirrors, their latest release on Ninja Tune and their first album in 9 years. The show will also feature a guest appearance by legendary house vocalist Robert Owens (Fingers Inc.), who sings "Walk a Mile" on the new album.
M3 is thrilled to be working with URB this year in co-presenting the M3 Sunset Sessions, marking another significant partnership aimed at bringing more unity to the Miami experience. "We've been taking part in Miami's music week for over a decade, and the arrival of M3 on the scene three years ago was as welcome as it was necessary," says Raymond Leon Roker, Publisher of URB. "Now that URB is celebrating its 15-year anniversary, we could think of no better partner or location for the kick-off of our 2006 celebrations. We're definitely excited to be hosting the Sunset Sessions as well as previewing our traveling photo exhibit 'Introspective: 15 Years of Image Consciousness'."
