I Trust You To Kill Me follows Kiefer Sutherland, taking his indie record label act, Rocco DeLuca & the Burden, on their first international tour through London, Dublin, Reykjavic and Berlin. Directed by Manu Boyer, the rockumentary chronicles a highly personal journey of a rock band & their less than qualified road manager (Sutherland), and shows the hopes, successes and disappointments of a band trying to find their audience. Shot guerilla style in High Definition color and black and white, the multi-camera crew intermingles real-life characters and captures the excitement and commotion of staged and un-staged performances, improvised interactions between the band, fans and locals.
Daily Variety described the film as, "Deftly mixing alternating tracks of playful rowdiness, thoughtful introspection, ferociously slamming rock and not-so-quiet desperation, helmer Manu Boyer scores impressively with "I Trust You to Kill Me," arguably the best rockumentary since "Some Kind of Monster."
Rocco DeLuca and The Burden released their debut album this year and their current single, "Colorful" has just entered the AAA Top 30 chart and is aimed to be a top 10 record. The bands personal highlights over the past few months include opening for Robert Plant in the UK, performing at the Playboy Mansion and being the first musicians ever to perform at the Monte Carlo Film Festival.
IFILM (http://www.ifilm.com) will have the exclusive internet premiere of the trailer starting Wednesday for a short window. (http://www.ifilm.com/itrustyoutokillme) Additionally, IGN (http://www.ign.com) will air an exclusive 6-minute clip of the film next week.
