OVER IT are already experienced road warriors, playing more than 700 shows since 2002. They have sold tens of thousands of their independently-released albums and EPs in the U.S. and Japan and will remain on the road with a stop playing the Bamboozle Fest in New Jersey on May 6th, and continuing through the August 2006 release of their Virgin Records debut album and beyond.
The four members of OVER IT, Peter Munters (vocals, guitar), Nick Bailey (guitar, vocals), Seth Watts (bass guitar, vocals) and James Ulrich (drums), forged their melodic, powerfully emotional and sharp-edged sound as young college undergrads. The band released a demo EP and two albums through independent labels based in Southern California, and also generated hundreds of thousands of streams on purevolume.com and their myspace.com page. With the release in 2001 of their first full-length album, they were gigging nationally, and they joined the Vans Warped Tour for the first time in 2002. Their second and most recent indie album, Silverstrand, sold over 10,000 units in America and another 10,000 in Japan.
OVER ITs extraordinary thrash and forward thrust is on full display in the appropriately-named Honestly, How Stoked Are We?!? a track from the Japanese version of Silverstrand, which will appear on the official 2006 Warped Tour compilation album. Another popular album track, Sirens on the 101, is to be re-recorded for the bands Virgin Records release.
