After coming off a frenetic 5-week national tour in July 2005 with fellow Los Angeles natives, The Vacation, The Nervous Return found themselves at home and in pre-production on what was to become their new record when a happy accident occurred. A hole in producer Joe Barresi�s schedule opened up and the band was able to book time in the studio that spawned Nirvana�s �Nevermind�, Weezer's �Pinkerton�, Fleetwood Mac's Rumors and the Barresi produced Queens of the Stone Age's �Lullabies to Paralyze�. Wasting no time, The Nervous Return quickly wrote six new songs in a weekend and recorded at a frenetic pace.
