Since the concert line up was announced, critics have panned the event for the lack of youthful and relevant artists performing. Larry LeBlanc of Billboard magazine dismissed the roster as a "back to the future" lineup saying, "It's woefully out of touch with what's going on in today's music in Canada. Where is Nickelback, where is Feist, where is Death From Above 1979, where is Arcade Fire?"
Along with Jet, the concert event will feature such artists as Bryan Adams, Our Lady Peace, Motley Crue, Simple Plan, Deep Purple, The Tragically Hip and many more. Around 35,000 tickets for the show sold out Thursday morning in just twenty-one minutes.
Meanwhile, Jet has been currently working on their next album and will be getting back to finishing it after the concert event. Possible titles for the album are Straight From the Heartthrob, Radical Sabbatical or Get Bored. (Trent McMartin Special Report)
