(TVT) In an apparent breakdown of homeland security, U.K. glitter punks Towers of London have been granted visas to enter the United States next month for a seven-city tour, kicking off September 17 in New York City at the 2005 CMJ Music Marathon.

Joining ToL on the tour will be their new label mates The Strays, a decidedly less destructive rock band fronted by Toby Marriott, son of the late Steve Marriott, mod legend and singer of The Small Faces and Humble Pie.

Anticipating the band's arrival, Spin Magazine's syndicated radio show recently summed it up: "We guarantee you that when they hit the shores of North America, in one singular blow they will bring back debauchery, drunkenness, faceplants, broken glass - all of it man. They are just awesome."

Towers of London's upcoming debut album Blood, Sweat & Towers, which contains such heartfelt ditties as "---- It Up" and "I'm A Rat" is due in early 2006. The band was nominated last week for "Best British Newcomer" at the 2005 Kerrang! Music Awards.
