(antiMusic) [Trent McMartin special report] After Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, 63, was diagnosed with throat cancer last summer the future of the band was in question. But now as Watts has made a full recovery the Stones have planned new stadium tour to kick off in Boston on August 21.

The tour will be conducted in support of the first new Rolling Stones studio album in 8 years. According to MSN Entertainment, the tour is again rumoured to be their very last but that has been said numerous times before proving false every time.

The Rolling Stones last tour was the 40 Licks tour, which celebrated their 40 years as a band together and proved to be one of the most successful tours of 2002-2003.
