(press releases) The feeling of brotherly love permeated the air at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA this past Saturday night as Rob Zombie was seen among the fans
rockin out to the explosive sounds of his little brother Spider One and Powerman 5000 as they tore through a concert which included favorites such as When Worlds
Collide, Nobodys Real and Action, as well as The Way That It Is from the WWESmackDown! Vs. Raw video game. Powerman 5000 are performing a handful of
dates throughout the U.S., which kicked off March 22 in Chico, CA and conclude June 11 in Detroit. The trek is aimed at getting fans ready for a new as-yet-untitled album,
which will finish being recorded and self-produced in Spider Ones hometown (Boston, MA) at Mad Oak Studios during a brief hiatus from the tour after their April 17 show
in Revere, MA. A majority of the album has already been recorded in Los Angeles. Itll be released later this year on Spider Ones Megatronic Records. Joining the line-up
(including Spider One along with Adrian Ost, drums and Siggy Siursen, bass) on tour and on the forthcoming album are guitarists Terry Corso (formerly with Alien Ant
Farm) and Johnny Rock (formerly with Half-Cocked, the first band Spider One signed to Megatronic when it was being distributed with DreamWorks Records), replacing
founding member Adam 12 who left the band before the tour started (but will appear on the new album) and Mike M.33 Tempesta who left in 2004. Spider One recently
gave the inside scoop about what fans can expect from the new music on the bands website (www.powerman5000.com): Well, let's just say if you like calculated, bloated
Hoobastank ballads or radio friendly nu metal or over produced, auto-tuned, cookie cutter rock, then you will hate the new Powerman 5000 record. Now, I'm NOT going to
say the standard bulls*** like, this is our heaviest, most brutal record yet. That's so boring and predictable. Not to mention, not true. I will say that this record is raw and
real. My goal on this one is to put together a bunch of songs that are meant to be played live. The kind of songs you could jam on with your friends in a garage band. I
don't know, it is what it is. Rock 'n Roll, punk rock, metal, whatever...it's PM5K. I'm digging it!!!
