Raul Malo shot to fame as the founder/frontman of the legendary multi-platinum selling band The Mavericks, singing songs that became massive international hits. The charismatic singer was born in Miami of Cuban parents and has long mixed his passion of Latin music with his love of Rock'N'Roll and Country rhythms and tunes.
Malo's forthcoming album 'You're Only Lonely' was predominantly recorded in Nashville with legendary producer Peter Asher, which features their favourite songs written by the greatest writers ever, crossing generations and musical genres. With the exception of the Etta James classic 'At Last', none of the songs on the forthcoming record are considered standards, but they all have great pedigree. Other songs include Willie Nelson's 'Angels Flying Too Close to the Ground', The Bee Gees' 'Run to Me', Randy Newman: 'Feels like Home' (duet with Martina McBride), The Everly Brothers' 'So Sad', Ron Sexsmith's 'Secret Heart', Harry Nilsson's 'Remember', Wayne Newton's 'Games Lovers Play', JD Souther's 'You're Only Lonely', and one Raul original entitled 'For You'.
The upcoming UK shows will be a wonderful opportunity for fans to get a unique sneak preview of Raul's forthcoming album with these forthcoming rare and intimate solo and acoustic live performances.
Raul Malo will be playing at the following venues:
15/04 London Bush Hall
