Spears made headlines in January with her impulsive Las Vegas marriage to her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander. That marriage was annulled after two days, but this time Spears seems to take the prospect of saying �I do� seriously. 

Federline and Spears have reportedly been dating for just two months.

Update: The British tabloid News of the World reports that the engagement is due to the fact that Spears is pregnant and is expecting around Christmas, according to a "Spears insider". If this is true it is not the only baby that Federline is reportedly expecting. According to Herald Sun, 27-year-old actress Shar Jackson says that she is 8-months pregnant with Federline's child, who is also reportedly the father to her 2-year-old daughter. The Herald reports that Federline and Jackson were also engaged until a few weeks ago. 

Time will tell is the "insider" that told the News of the World that Britney is with child was telling the truth. Perhaps she will have a "bat-boy", that would really give the tabloids something to sell!
