The mainstage will be co-headlined by Ozzy and the reunited Judas Priest. Although Ozzy has been confirmed, his health following a near fatal ATV accident in December may derail those plans. But the Ozzfest camp seem confident that he will pull it off.
This tour will mark the first time Judas Priest toured North America with Rob Halford since 1992.
If the top of the bill wasnt enough to pull in classic metalheads than the inclusion of Slayer in the third slot ought to do it. Rounding out the bottom of the main stage bill will be black-metalers Dimmu Borgir, Superjoint Ritual and Ozzfest stalwarts Black Label Society.
During the press conference announcing the tour, Sharon Osbourne was asked about the absence of alternative rock bands on the tour and she simply responded, Were not gay!
Amid laughter, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford interjected, I am.
Always getting the last word, Sharon responded and proud.
The second stage will be co-headlined by Slipknot and Hatebreed. Other bands that were selected partially by fan voting at Ozzfest.com include Lamb of God, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, Lacuna Coil, Everytime I Die, Unearth and Godforbid.
