A spokeswoman for the New York Office of Chief Medical Examiner told Reuters that ODB's death has been ruled an accidental overdose. The examiner office found traces of cocaine and the prescription drug Tramadol in his system.
ODB, real name Russell Jones, complained of chest pains before collapsing in a recording studio on November 13th, two days shy of his 36th birthday. (see story)
Aside from his music, ODB was as well known for his colorful exploits and run-ins with the law. His big break in music came as a founding member of the rap group Wu-Tang Clan.
