Fans of the �Mission: Impossible� franchise, need not worry as filming of the next installment should take place next year and a new director has been hired on to take the helm, J.J. Abrams. 

Television fans may recognize the name. Abrams was the creator of �Alias� and �Felicity� and his next television project �Lost� will be premier on ABC this fall.  
�M: I-3� will be Abrams feature length directorial debut. Meanwhile, Cruise is enjoy success with his latest film �Collateral� which topped the box office last week.
