The New Tom Green Show lasted only three month; half as long as the actors marriage to Drew Barrymore.
The New Tom Green Show debuted to critical acclaim on June 23rd and offered a much different format than the comedian's original MTV series. This time the gross out skits were replaced by a golden age of television style late night talk show, ala Johnny Carson.
Unlike Carson, Green wasnt able to pull in the viewers, or the green for that matter and MTV decided to pull the plug.
The first week of the program averaged 889,000 viewers but a look at last weeks average shows the sad truth at 255,000 viewers.
"Tom remains a part of the MTV family and we look forward to working with him in the future," an MTV spokeswoman said Tuesday.
But will Tom go back and get bitten again?
Time will tell.
