�Elf� debuted at No. 2 last week behind �The Matrix Revolutions� but it was the clear winner this weekend taking in an estimated $27.2 million.
�Master and Commander� came in a close second with $25 million. �The Matrix Revolutions� dropped to third place and 66% with $16.3 million.
Family films dominated the middle of the Top 10; Disney�s �Brother Bear" came in 4th earning $12 million and �Looney Tunes: Back in Action� debuted at No. 5 with $9.5 million.
"Love Actually" actually earned $8.9 million placing it in 6th place. �Scary Movie 3� is still going strong, bringing in an addition $6.1 million and a 7th place finish. �Radio� was turned on to the tune of $5 million.
�Tupac: Resurrection� brought the slain
rapper glory with $4.7 million premier and a 9th place finish with a limited
release. And �Mystic River� rounded out the Top 10 with a $3.3 million
take at the box office.
