"The Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute: A Celebration Of Friends and Family" is expected to kick off at 8 p.m. local time at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, the former home of the Grand Ole Opry radio show.
Musicians expected to perform include Cash�s daughter, Rosanne Cash as well as Hank Williams Jr., George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, Marty Stuart, Larry Gatlin, Travis Tritt, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock and John Mellencamp.
The show is being hosted by actor Tim Robbins and it appears another famous Tennessean has just been added as a speaker--former Vice President Al Gore.
The cable network, Country Music Television, will air a taping of the concert on Saturday night.
Johnny Cash passed away from complications of diabetes on September 12th. He was 71.
