Manson was headlining the Freakers Ball concert festival at the Kansas City International Raceway and pulled the plug on his show after fans rushed the stage a second time, knocking down a security fence.
Manson left the stage after the fence was knocked down the first time but returned to play his set after security guards resurrected it. When roadies began breaking down his gear following Mansons second exit from the stage, some concert goers got upset and started throwing bottles at off-duty police officers who were working as security at the concert.
Police backups of about 100 officers were called in to help bring things back under control. Once police arrived on the scene, they reportedly used irritant sprays in an attempt to break up the crowd of rowdy fans.
Angry fans reportedly fought police and smashed police cars as officers attempted to break up the crowd and clear the raceway.
Only a few minor injuries were reported.
