In 2001 Philly fans booed Destiny's Child when they performed during halftime at Game Three of the NBA Finals. This past Sunday (Jan 19th) Philly fans once again took to booing the halftime entertainment, this time it was Ja Rule and Ashanti.
Yahoos Launch reports that fans greeted Ja Rule and Ashanti with boos when they took the stage for a half-time performance of Ja Rules latest single Mesmerize at the NFC Championship game at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia on Sunday.
Perhaps the fans were upset that their hometown team was losing the championship game to Tampa Bay or they were just affirming Ja Rules recent drop in popularity. According to Launch the rappers latest album The Last Temptation has failed to follow in the footsteps of his two previous triple-platinum releases with the new CD showing only lukewarm sales since it was released in November.
