The group is currently mixing the new album in New York with Andy Wallace (Foo Fighters, Korn) and expect to release it on May 13th in North America and May 12th in Europe.
"We've finished the album and I've just arrived in NY to mix with Andy Wallace." Said Durst on the official Limp Bizkit site. "I'm gonna drop the first single as soon as Andy mixes it. You're absolutely in for a surprise. I'm fed up with a lot of s*** and 'Bipolar' is the way I have chosen to vent and like it or not its coming."
You can get a taste of the new material via an MP3 Posted to the Limp Bizkit website for the track Just Drop Dead.
When talking about the song Durst urges fans to "listen to it a few times really f***ing loud. Just know that it is definitely not our first single, but just a great way to vent. It is a raw, rough, and unmixed version of the song that came straight from the studio. Somehow it just turned itself into an MP3 and jumped right into the computer. I told it to stop, but it told me to shut the hell up!"
A few of our readers have previewed the song and have been discussing it on our message boards.
These [sic] goes beyond sucking. It makes ICE ICE BABY sound like Stairway to Heaven, posts Wes.
Ha! The album will now be called Bipolar. That's the same title that Vanilla Ice used for his latest. Hmm.., wrote Dudeguy.
Scott Stapps Ego chimed in with Wow, that sucked worse than I thought it would. The only real redeeming factor to that song was that it ended rather quickly.
