This month Teabagger tell you why Ignite got his attention and kept it.

IGNITE is high on my list of great new music right now.  What is it that makes IGNITES music so appealing to me?  It's hard for me to put a finger on it or to pigeonhole their sound with a vague description.  The sound is new and original to say the least, and I'd say it's definitely "vast", not vague.  You know how it is when you listen to new music sometimes but you can't really "hear" what all the excitement is about?  IGNITE doesn't suffer from that problem at all.

I'm a convert on the strength of their live show.  But the new release, "A Place Called Home" does not disappoint the listener either.  IGNITE is a punk/hardcore band that writes socially aware lyrics and supports human and environmental causes. They also display the musicianship to deliver their message with Tomahawk missile effect!  Check out the tongue in cheek lyric on "Who Sold out now".  Constant complaining/Makes my ears ring/I care about hardcore/But I hate the scene.  Or, the anthemic "Veteran".  Yeah you're abandoned so sorry/You're just a waste of their time/Yeah you've been lied to once again/Yeah well they've paid you no mind/Where are we, where are we now?  "A Place Called Home is full of surprises both musically and lyrically.

Of the thirteen songs on this disc, there's not one I can't "hear".  There's something so unique about singer Zoli Teglas' vocals that they totally defy all conventional description.  Could it possibly be that's because he's a "real" singer?  Before you know it you're singing along to songs like  "Burned Up" where looking at the lyrics, " Burned up/My throat is ripped open" you'd expect it to be a Morbid Angel deathfest, until it turns optimistic on you.  That's what I like most about these songs, is that they're all about overcoming and making things better.  We need this kind of stuff man!
