with Wednesday 13 by Dustin Hupe
Remember the time when it looked like Slipknot was gonna split up? Corey went off to do Stone Sour, and Joey went off to do Murderdolls? Okay, remember the guy that was the screaming, angry, horror movie obsessed Murderdolls frontman? Well it looks like he's gone solo these days. And if anyone was wondering if he could hold his own with out the Slipknot drummer's name bringing in the fans.....he can. In 2003 when Jordison went back to the studio with Slipknot, Wednesday went to his basement, when he came out he had written over 100 songs and started focusing on his solo album. So here we go with Wednesday 13's solo album...... " Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying, and the Dead", for anyone expecting to hear remnants of Murderdolls, you got it, for anyone looking for something different, you got that too. Wednesday is still angry, still screaming, and still loving the horror movies. However, he does go in a slightly different direction, slowing things down in some songs and exhibiting some emotions other than hate. Don't get me wrong, I like hate songs and I like violent songs but it can get tiresome. The song "Haunt Me" for instance seems to be about the loss of a loved one, and the song "The Ghost Of Vincent Price" is about how all the people that made the good horror movies are dead now (kinda like the Murderdolls song Dead In Hollywood). But if you're looking for that good old fashioned violence, just check out Track 4 "Bad Things" which has the chorus stating "I want bad things to happen to you" or Track 9 "I Want You Dead" which is pretty self explanatory. But if you want the cool horror references check out Track 3 "I Walked With A Zombie" inspired by the 1943 movie of the same name. So if you liked Murderdolls but want something
different, check this out. Or if you liked Murderdolls and want something
similar, check it out, and even if you didn't like Murderdolls, check it
out....it's not Murderdolls, just the frontman.
