The highly anticipated second album from Canadian/American four-piece Envy Of None is out today. Titled Stygian Wavz, the album draws its name from the work of the Roman poet Ovid who spoke of "Stygian waves and turbulence at the gates of hell" - a metaphor for the struggles and hardships we face. Following a recent string of standout single releases and stunning music videos, the band are excited to finally be able to share the album in its entirety and bring their full creative vision to life.

Alex Lifeson shared, "I loved all the quality building materials that arrived from my partners and enjoyed cementing each board and brick of an idea into 11 unique rooms within a most beautiful abode. I would encourage you to stroll slowly and repeatedly through each of these rooms, drinking in the colours, gazing at the vistas and feeling the warm wash of sensory vibration. Within these rooms, we have built a place for you, our cordial guest, to relax and open your heart and mind in the comfort of our beloved home. Welcome, friend." (continue)

Wolves at the Gate will release new album Wasteland on May 30 via Solid State Records. Today, the band has shared the visualizer for second single "SYNTHETIC SUN."

"As a culture, we're trying to create our own morality, but can't do so without a true moral standard," says vocalist/guitarist Steve Cobucci. "Rather, we do this individually, which ends up creating chaos. We all fall prey to this mindset. Creating your own morality will cause you to block out any semblance of truth outside of yourself. If you metaphorically block out the actual sun and create a synthetic sun, it will result in a slow and fatal poisoning." (continue)

Michael Rudd just released his new album, "Going to the Mountain," and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the song "Going Away." Here is the story:

"Going Away" was one of the first songs that I wrote after songs started coming in the summer of 2023. Even though the song was finished and one of the first chosen for the album Long Way from Paradise, there was still something missing. So I pulled it and put it aside. Months later, when I started thinking about Going to the Mountain, I listened again and what was missing became clear, and I worked on the arrangement until it matched what I heard. Most importantly, it still moved me when I sang it. What I didn't know is that the song still had some changing to do. (continue)
