Foreigner is thrilled to announce that their three-disc set, Can't Slow Down, has officially achieved Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The set, which includes twelve brand new songs, a collection of remixes, and a live DVD, has added a major milestone in the band's illustrious career.

Originally released on September 29th, 2009, Can't Slow Down is a comprehensive package that showcases Foreigner''s dynamic range, from remixed hits recorded by the original band to an epic live performance video and twelve new songs featuring Kelly Hansen's stellar vocals. The new songs include "In Pieces" and "When It Comes To Love" which were both featured in the Top 20 on the Adult Contemporary charts. (continue)

(hennemusic) Pink Floyd is previewing footage of a "Dark Side Of The Moon" classic as featured in the restored 1972 "Live At Pompeii" concert film ahead of its theatrical release this spring.

The clip sees David Gilmour and Roger Waters in the studio working on the track, "Brain Damage", in rare behind-the-scenes footage of the band beginning work on the 1973 album classic at Abbey Road Studios in London, UK. (continue)

Omnivore Recordings has announced Tsar's self-titled debut album will receive its first-ever vinyl release on May 2, commemorating the album's 25th anniversary.

Formed in the late 1990s, Tsar gained attention after a residency at Silver Lake, California's iconic Spaceland club, and burst onto the music scene with their eponymous debut album on Hollywood Records in 2000. Produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, My Chemical Romance) and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Bruce Springsteen, U2, Madonna), the album was an immediate critical sensation, even winning two awards from L.A.'s New Times magazine. Deko Entertainment have announced a very special release of Slaughter's 1997 album "Revolution" on 180g vinyl, marking the albums first time on that platform and it's a very limited reissue on two color variations that are limited to just 500 copies each. Chipster sent over these details:

Slaughter was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1988. The group was founded by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum, who previously played together in the band Vinnie Vincent Invasion. The addition of guitarist Tim Kelly and drummer Blas Elias allowed Slaughter to quickly gain attention for their lively performances, catchy hooks, and melodic guitar solos. Slaughter's debut album Stick It to Ya had three singles released that hit the Billboard Hot 100: the hit "Fly to the Angels" (US#19), and the moderate hits "Up All Night" (US#27) and "Spend My Life" (US#39). I was recently back from tour, and bummed that it was over. I entered a "Song Every Week" club, where you have to upload a new song by the deadline, or you're out of the club. Predictably, I'd procrastinated till the last day of the week, and was now under the gun. I went out and picked up a Fulltone Supa-Trem and brought it home; this guitar part was literally the first thing I played after plugging in. Pretty sweet pedal. Not that I'm advocating for retail therapy as a creative stimulator, but sometimes there's a man... (continue)
