The Damned cofounder Brian James has died at age of 70, his family shared via social media. The legendary band are credited with releasing the very first UK punk single, "New Rose". After parting ways with The Damned, Brian also found success with The Lords of the New Church.

Brian's family shared the following on his official Facebook page, "It is with great sadness that we announce the death of one of the true pioneers of music, guitarist, songwriter, and true gentleman, Brian James. (continue)

Wolves at the Gate have revealed a music video for their brand new single "Parasite", and have announced that they will be releasing their new studio album, "Wasteland", on May 30 via Solid State Records.

Vocalist/guitarist Steve Cobucci shared, "Throughout the whole album, we are exploring different concepts through the lens of a broader narrative and story. With 'Parasite,' we wanted to write a song that explores the relationship between a parasite and its host. Oceanside Countryside is the latest of Neil Young's great "lost" albums to be released as part of his Analog Original Series (AOS). The album was recorded from May to December 1977, preceding the release of Comes A Time in 1978. The two albums share the same country/folk sound, and three songs ("Goin' Back," "Human Highway" and "Field of Opportunity") appear on both albums.

The vinyl and digital versions are available today via Reprise Records. The stand alone CD release will follow on April 25. Click HERE to order. The vinyl release of Oceanside Countryside includes some tracks that are on the CD of the same name in Neil Young's Archives Vol. III. However, this track list is how Oceanside Countryside was originally planned to be released and finally will be made available on vinyl for the first time ever. (hennemusic) Motorhead is streaming video of a vintage Top Of The Pops performance of the classic Motown track, "Leaving Here", as part of the band's 50th anniversary celebrations.

"Here's some more gold from the BBC, Top Of The Pops archive," says the band. "Performed on 1st May 1980." Originally a US Top 30 hit on the R&B charts for Eddie Holland in 1963, Motorhead released its version of "Leaving Here" as its debut single in 1977. (continue)
