Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe's sophomore book, "JUST BEYOND THE LIGHT: Making Peace with The Wars Inside Our Head" arrives Feb. 18 via Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group. In anticipation of its release, the Lamb of God frontman has expanded his North American book tour to 15 dates.
The special "evening with" event includes a spoken word performance, an audience Q&A session, a copy of "Just Beyond the Light," and an opportunity to have the book signed. Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale Friday, Dec. 13, at 12 noon local time. (continue)

Guitarist and songwriter Julian Lynch has released a new recording of "O Little Town of Bethlehem," to be featured on the annual alternative holiday album series Slow Xmas. Lynch, who plays lead guitar in the celebrated indie rock group Real Estate, creates a tranquil psychedelic interpretation of the christmas standard that evokes an ambiance of nighttime serenity. The song will be featured on the upcoming Slow Xmas 4, an annual tradition which showcases a variety of musicians interpreting and creating based on one simple prompt: gotta be slow. The album is the 4th compilation record produced and curated by Ben Hosley and released via Bone Sound Inc Worldwide. Slow Xmas 4 will be released on December 15th.
"I felt immediately hooked by the concept." writes Lynch about Slow Xmas. "I'm always eager for an excuse to make a really slow song, and twice as eager for it to be a cover of a public domain holiday classic. Putting the song together love amplified was a very cool experience. At the time we were just bouncing hooks off of each other Mike and myself. He had this cool little Van Halen-ish, AC/DC If you would type hook, and we started putting some cool little brakes in the rhythm for the verses which gave it a cool hard rock vibe, with a little bit of a different progression for the bridge on the guitar.
