In continued support of their 3x GRAMMY-nominated album Dark Matter, Pearl Jam will be touring select U.S. cities in April and May 2025. Support acts for these dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Pearl Jam's live dates will start in Hollywood, FL on April 24 and 26 and wrap with performances in Pittsburgh, PA on May 16 and 18. (continue)

The official Led Zeppelin documentary "Becoming Led Zeppelin" will be coming to IMAX theaters on February 7th, but IMAX has also announced early access screenings that will be taking place on February 5th.

Here is the synopsis for the film: BECOMING LED ZEPPELIN is the first ever authorized documentary about the band. The film charts the early musical influences and careers of each bandmate before diving deep into their first two albums and subsequent tours. (continue)

Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May is "stabilized now" after suffering a stroke in September that caused him to initially lose control of his arm, according to his wife Anita Dobson.

She told The Mirror, "He's much better now, he's stabilized now, which is brilliant. I just hope we don't have any more reoccurrences. (continue)

Sum 41 have canceled their upcoming tour of Australia, including a co-headlining slot at the Good Things Festival, citing frontman Deryck Whibley's ongoing struggle with his health.

The Good Things Festival shared the following message from the band via social media, "It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce our 2024 Australian tour is unable to proceed. John McCutcheon has shared a major update and some sad news about his Golden State swing this January with his friend Tom Paxton. After six decades of touring, current medical concerns have forced Tom Paxton to end his touring career.

Tom is incredibly appreciative of all the wonderful fans and promoters who have supported him all these years. Both John and Tom are so disappointed that they couldn't do this last hurrah together. (continue)

Drummer Ken Mary has worked as a session and live player with a list of artists that's beginning to look like a who's who of metal and rock, including icons such as Flotsam and Jetsam, Accept, Alice Cooper, House of Lords, Bonfire, Impelliterri, Don Dokken, and Fifth Angel to name a few.

Now, Ken has revealed a new project, titled "The Neil Peart Experiment." Anyone who knows Ken is aware of his reverence for Neil Peart's composition skills, as well as Ken's claim that he would love to duplicate Peart's drumming, at least in the technical sense, on a Rush track. (continue)

He shared several photos on Instagram and wrote, "Well kids, it's show n tell time... hope this doesn't wreck your lunch only 3 weeks ago i underwent a hand surgery by @drcohenhandsurgeon He addressed 2 debilitating issues for me as a drummer, keyboard player and pretty much everything to do with my right hand. Legendary Foreigner guitarist and cofounder Mick Jones had a top 24 story of February 2024 after he took to social media on February 21st to share the news with fans that he has been battling Parkinson's Disease.

Jones wrote, "Fans will have become very aware that for some time now, I have not been performing onstage with the band. A number of years ago I was
diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. I want everyone to know that I am doing alright, however, l've always liked to be at my best when performing onstage, and sadly at present find that a bit difficult. (continue)

Vampire Weekend earned a top 24 story of February 2024 when they released their first new music in five years with the two new tracks "Capricorn" and "Gen-X Cops," that arrived along with accompanying music videos.

According to Nasty Little Man, each of the new tunes is accompanied by a new video built around footage of New York circa 1988 by Only God Was Above Us album art photographer Steven Siegel. Directed by longtime Vampire Weekend creative director Nick Harwood, "Capricorn" is a visual journey to late '80s New York City that showcases the alluring yet grimy era of the city- before breaking to modern day Vampire Weekend. Music legend Kenny Loggins has had a number of hit songs tied to films including Top Gun and Caddy Shack but it was his theme song for "Footloose" that landed him a top 24 story of February 2024 with his celebration the 40th anniversary of the movie, the smash 1984 movie that helped to cement the singer-songwriter's reputation as "the Soundtrack King." To mark this milestone, Paramount Home Entertainment has remastered the film and is releasing it for the first time as a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in standard and steelbook packages.

Released on February 17, 1984, Footloose was directed by the legendary filmmaker Herbert Ross (The Turning Point, Steel Magnolias) and concerned a Chicago teenager who moves to a small town and attempts to overturn its ban on dancing. The movie was an immediate hit and soon became a phenomenon, turning Kevin Bacon into a star and dominating music charts with a multi-million-selling soundtrack album that included two songs performed by Loggins: "I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man)" and, of course, the iconic title track. Both songs were written by Loggins and Dean Pitchford. (continue)
