Iron Maiden have shared a tribute to their former frontman Paul Di'Anno who has passed away at the age of 66. Di'Anno fronted the band for their first two albums, before being replaced by current vocalist Bruce Dickinson.
The band shared, "Monday 21st October 2024 We are all deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Paul Di'Anno earlier today. Paul's contribution to Iron Maiden was immense and helped set us on the path we have been travelling as a band for almost five decades. His pioneering presence as a frontman and vocalist, both on stage and on our first two albums, will be very fondly remembered not just by us, but by fans around the world. (continue)

Former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di'Anno, who fronted the legendary band for their first two studio album, "Iron Maiden" and "Killers", has died at the age of 66, according to his record label Conquest Music.
The label shared the sad news this morning via social media. They wrote," On behalf of his family, Conquest Music are sad to confirm the death of Paul Andrews, professionally known as Paul Di'Anno. Paul passed away at his home in Salisbury at the age of 66. (continue)

Nymphs star Inger Lorre died last week, according to Reybee. They sent over the following: We are saddened to say goodbye to our beloved friend and artist Inger Lorre. Inger, born Lori Anne Wening, passed on October 16, 2024 from complications due to recently-diagnosed cancer. Her mother, Lois Wening, had also passed on October 4, 2024; both are confirmed by Jen Wening, Inger's sister.
Inger was an accomplished singer, songwriter, recording artist, painter and a lover of animals. A singularly unique artist, both visually and musically, Inger first came to national attention with her band Nymphs, whose self-titled LP was released by Geffen Records in 1991. (continue)
Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee has shared that he has been released from this hospital and is now at home recovering from multiple gunshot wounds and he has shared the details about the confrontation that led to the shooting.

That song was the last one I wrote for my previous album. It didn't fit the vibe so it didn't make it on Dear Illusion but I knew I had something good that I eventually would use. That first version was acoustic and had more of a Johnny Cash/ folk vibe than the heavier version that I just released. It came about in an unusual way. One of my oldest friends is Rocky Laroche who's been the bass player for Canadian Metal legends Voivod for the past 10 years. Before that, he played in my band, in the days before I became a one-man band. As a matter of fact, he's the first bass player I ever played with, way back when we were 14 years old. So anyways, I was thinking about Voivod and their use of what is called the flat five or augmented fourth and their use of diminished chords which is central to their sound. (continue)
