KISS frontman Paul Stanley took to X to share a photo of his wife and revealed that the band is working on a documentary about their End Of The Road Farewell Tour.
The iconic band wrapped up the trek, featuring their final line up of Stanley, co-founder Gene Simmons, as well as Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, with two hometown shows at Madison Square Garden in December of last year. (continue)
AC/DC continues their domination of music and this week they made an impressive showing on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart in the UK claiming one-fifth of the entire chart, according to Forbes
The legendary group claimed eight spots on the chart, including five albums that reappeared on the tally, but according to the report, this week marked the very first time that the band's 1988 release "Blow Up Your Video" landed on the chart. (continue)
Former Allman Brothers Band keyboardist and harmonica player Johnny Neal has passed away, according to his former bandmate Warren Haynes, who shared the sad news on Sunday (October 6th). Neal was 70 years old.
Haynes wrote via social media, "Aside from being an amazing musician and singer, Johnny was one of the funniest people on the planet - a true character. 'Johnny Neel stories,' as we refer to them in our little chunk of the music world, are legendary. Some of you reading this will know some of those stories and even ones that I don't know - but I know a ton. (continue)
Creed frontman Scott Stapp has played some of the biggest venues in the world but on October 23rd he will be making his debut on one of the most legendary stages in the world, the Grand Ole Opry.
Stapp will be taking the venerated stage to make the live debut of his very first duet, "If These Walls Could Talk" a song that he released with rock vocalist Dorothy and was co-written by Stapp and Kylie Sackley (Sam Hunt, Keith Urban, Walker Hayes), Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Ozzy Osbourne, Faith Hill), and Scott Stevens (Halestorm, Shinedown). Buzzed-about UK band KillerStar is led by Rob Fleming (vocals, guitar, synths) and James Sedge (drums) which features an array of David Bowie's most trusted collaborators. The band will make their U.S. concert debut on Saturday, November 2 at the Cutting Room in NYC.
At this NYC show, Fleming and Sedge will perform with Bowie band alumni Mike Garson, Mark Plati, and Gerry Leonard. They will be joined by Dom Beken (from Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets) and Grammy Award winner and saxophonist Andy Snitzer as well as Ulrika Bergelind and Nicki Richards on backing vocals. The event marked the second of four concerts at the city's Estadio GNP Seguros as part of the final run of 2024 dates on the group's M72 World Tour in support of its latest album, "72 Seasons."
Metallica confirmed the series will be extended - into a third year - with the recent announcement of North American shows next spring. The M72 World Tour's 2025 itinerary will continue the hallowed No Repeat Weekend tradition, with each night of the two-show stands featuring entirely different set lists and support lineups. So when Covid hit and the world shut down, it was the first opportunity in almost 40 years for me to be in my studio day after day. During that time, I wrote three different records: Overkill's "Scorched", The Cadillac's Band's "Let's Rattle", and this last solo record "Dreadful Company". I wrote 'Sayin' I Love You' at this time. Sometimes I felt a little guilty sitting out there enjoying every moment of writing/creating songs while the world seemed to be a mess. I actually think that contributed to the song. (continue)
