Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, today release The 1974 Live Recordings celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan's return to touring that year. Featuring all professionally recorded shows from the artist's 1974 performances backed by The Band, the collection is now available as a deluxe box set across 27 CDs. The 1974 Live Recordings offers fans 417 previously-unreleased Bob Dylan live tracks - including 133 recordings newly mixed from 16-track tape, and every single surviving soundboard recording - along with new liner notes by journalist and critic Elizabeth Nelson.
Early praise for the collection has arrived from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, the Associated Press, UNCUT, and MOJO who in their four-star review said the music is "...so mighty it reorients a Dylan era...," and Uproxx's Steven Hyden who wrote, "'The 1974 Live Recordings' puts you inside Bob Dylan and The Band's historic tour...The electric sets from the first several weeks represent some of the finest music Dylan and The Band ever made together." Chase Atlantic announce their fourth studio album, LOST IN HEAVEN, is set to drop November 1st via Fearless Records. Along with the album news, the band has unleashed their vibey new single, "DOUBT IT," with a psychedelic hybrid visualizer / lyric video. Pulsing with dark alternative R&B vibes, trap beats, and glitchy synths, the track hits hard with the rebellious line, "Put your money where your mouth is, lay it on the counter, rip it open, let me count it."
The new track release follows the success of their previous album single "DIE FOR ME," a haunting slow jam that garnered over 7 million global streams in its first week and earned spots on 24 New Music Friday playlists. With over 5.5 billion global Spotify streams and counting, CHASE ATLANTIC's genre-blurring sound continues to dominate. Alt Press described the song as "a Bonnie and Clyde story, saturated in desperate, dramatic love, which plays out against a dreamy, dark alt-pop landscape." (continue)
Body Count releases their powerful rendition of "Comfortably Numb" featuring David Gilmour-a fresh take on the classic Pink Floyd track that explores themes of detachment and introspection. Gilmour's seminal guitar work adds a haunting, authentic touch, seamlessly blending with Body Count's signature intensity and Ice's profound new lyrics, making the track a fusion of rock history and raw, modern energy. Body Count has also revealed the release date for their new album, Merciless, set to drop on November 22.
Ice T on the track: " For me "Comfortably Numb" is an introspective song-it's me acknowledging that I'm older now. I'm telling the younger generation, you've got two choices: you can keep the fire burning or you can give up. It's me trying to make sense of what's happening, but also pointing out that we're all in a place where we don't have to face reality. We've got flat-screen TVs and popcorn, and we can just sit back and watch the chaos of the world like it's a TV show. It doesn't feel real until it shows up at your door. I'm a little numb, too-we all are." (continue)

The Sam Gyllenhaal Band just released their new single "Ocean Baby", and to celebrate we asked Sam to tell us about the track. Here is the story: "Ocean Baby" is an infectious summer anthem that paints a picture of wild and young love against a beach-town backdrop. We took our robust, three-part harmony and played it against triumphant guitar riffs to build a giant wave for listeners to ride. Is that ocean metaphor too on the nose? Oh well.
I'll often come into a songwriting session with a melody that has place-holder lyrics, mostly nonsense, that my co-writers will help me shape into the actual lyrics. This melody included the words "Ocean Baby," and I said, "Obviously we'll just replace that." Instead of replacing those words though, my co-writers John Cirillo and Taylor Burke thought we should build the song around those words and see where it would take us. (continue)
