Despite pulling the plug on their reunion tour, the original line-up of Jane's Addiction (vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery) have just shared their new single "True Love".

As we previously reported, last week the band announced that they have cancelled the remaining dates of their coheadlining tour with Love and Rockets after they had to stop their concert in Boston short due an on stage altercation. (continue)

To commemorate the 1st anniversary of The Rolling Stones' 2023 number one album Hackney Diamonds, a special edition vinyl edition is being released this winter. The 2LP release features album singles "Angry," "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" and "Mess It Up," plus 7 additional live recordings performed at the album's live launch at Racket, New York in October 2023 including "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" with Lady Gaga, as well as performances of "Shattered," "Tumbling Dice," and "Jumpin' Jack Flash."

The new edition, available December 6, marks a year since the Stones' first studio set of original material since 2005 was released. Hackney Diamonds charted at #1 in 19 territories around the world selling over a million units since release. (continue)

AWOLNATION has announced headline dates for 'The Phantom Five Tour' with special guest Bryce Fox, which will kick off Thursday, March 27 at House of Blues in San Diego and run through May. The tour will hit many major cities throughout North America.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of AWOLNATION's newest album 'The Phantom Five', released last month. Composed of ten tracks, Aaron Bruno aka AWOLNATION says he "wrote this album with the intention that it could possibly be the final AWOLNATION album". Thurston Moore's Flow Critical Lucidity will be released this Friday, September 20. To celebrate, there will be an album listening party in Dolby Atmos at the legendary Olympic Studios in London on September 20, as well as an in-store performance and signing on September 22 at Rough Trade East.

Lars Frederiksen will be selling nearly 30 guitars used throughout his career on Reverb. Frederiksen, who is currently on tour with Rancid as part of a US stadium tour featuring Green Day and the Smashing Pumpkins, will open the Official Lars Frederiksen of Rancid Reverb Shop on September 25, featuring guitars used on Rancid albums, played on tour, and more.

"For the last 35-40 years, I've been playing a lot of music-most importantly with Rancid, but also with Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards, Oxley's Midnight Runners, Stomper 98, The Last Resort, the Old Firm Casuals, and the list goes on and on," said Frederiksen. "Over the years I've acquired a lot of different types of guitars, some basses, and a lot of other cool stuff. I've used it all in some way, whether it's been on stage or in the studio, but it's been sitting and collecting dust. Acclaimed singer-songwriter and Eagles collaborator JD Souther has died at the age of 78, according to a statement on his official website. They shared the following: John David "JD" Souther, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee known for his hit collaborations with the Eagles, James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, passed away peacefully in his New Mexico home at the age of 78.

The Detroit, Michigan-born Souther, raised in Amarillo, Texas, was known for his longtime partnership with the Eagles' Glenn Frey, whom he met in Los Angeles after moving there in the late '60s, briefly forming a band called Longbranch Pennywhistle, with an album recorded for Jimmy Bowen's Amos Records. That would last through collaborations on some of the Eagles' biggest hits, including "Best of My Love," "James Dean," "New Kid in Town" and "Doolin-Dalton." He also co-wrote "Heartache Tonight," with Bob Seger, Frey and Don Henley. (continue)

Many remixes can be subtle. Not so with the RJ Pasin remix if the platinum hit "Hey There Delilah" by Plain White Ts. The remix adds a little twang, as well as some beats and blips, giving the billion streaming, heartfelt song an unexpected refresh for 2024. Things escalate and get unexpectedly noisier and louder towards the latter half of the song. Overall we thought thematically, "Daydreamer" was such a great way to encapsulate everything from the geopolitical drama that is so front and center and what a distraction it has become, but more so the everyday experiences we all have with self imposed pressure to succeed but also at its most granular level simply pay the bills, and really just those in the moment choices we make that effect our lives for better or worse.
