Poison frontman Bret Michaels took to social media this week after a minor controversy was sparked by his bandmate about the vocalist not wanting to tour with the band next year. Michaels reveal his desire to launch the tour in 2006 which will the 40th anniversary of the band's debut album.
Earlier this week drummer Rikki Rocket shared on social media, "I keep getting asked multiple times a day, 'Why isn't Poison touring in 2025 now?' Super simple answer, Bret doesn't want to." After those brief comments caused a controversy, Rikki shared, "People, I never said that Bret is cancelling the 2025 tour. It didn't get booked. I said the reason Poison isn't touring in 2025 is because Bret doesn't want to. Doesn't matter what the reason for him is as far as what I said. I'm simply telling you why so that CC, Bobby or myself doesn't get blamed. It isn't dirt. It isn't a fight. Just the facts, ma'am. Surmise what you want from it. You will anyway!" (continue)
Former Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di'Anno has revisited one of the band's classic tracks, "Wrathchild", with a brand new version that also features ZP Theart of Dragonforce and Skid Row fame.
The track will appear on Di'Anno's forthcoming album, "The Book Of The Beast", which is set to be released September 27th. Paul had this to say, "I'm loving this version of 'Wrathchild'. and working on the vocals with ZP Theart. really brought a lot of new energy into the song. This weekend will see White and his band crossing the Atlantic for a trio of eagerly awaited UK live dates, set for London's Islington Assembly Hall (September 13), Liverpool's O2 Academy (September 14), and Brighton's Chalk (September 15). Sick Puppies have premiered a music video for their new track "Going Places". That song arrives ahead of the band's forthcoming album, "Wave The Bull", which will arrive early next year.

Here is the story: When I wrote the song "Alberta," I was still new to playing guitar. I had flown it out with me that summer when I worked as a tree planter for the first time. I wrote the song in my tent, and the little riff I made that exists beneath the entire song sounded to me like guard rails passing along on the highway.
The summer began in British Columbia, learning how to plant spruce and pine seedlings as fast as I could, the right distance apart, surrounded by mountains, thick woods, and black flies. Despite the strict regime of waking up at sunrise, having breakfast with the crew in the mess tent, getting driven to some barren wasteland, and planting trees for eight hours, it felt like total freedom and escape.
