Queen's groundbreaking 1973 debut album, Queen, remixed, remastered and expanded in a 6CD+1LP box set Queen I Collector's Edition out October 25. Also released as Vinyl LP Queen I - 2024 Mix plus 1 CD, 2CD Deluxe Edition, 1LP Picture Disc and Cassette formats.

Over half a century since its release and a vital chapter in the band's story, Queen's self-titled 1973 debut album has been remixed and restored by Justin Shirley-Smith, Joshua J Macrae and Kris Fredriksson to sound the way the band always wanted it to. A new tracklisting, alternative takes, demos and live tracks have now been added to create the most complete version of this pivotal work. This is the very first time that a Queen album has ever received a new stereo mix. (continue)

BMG will be releasing Iron Maiden Powerslave on November 15th as a limited-edition vinyl pressings to mark this historic album and is true collector's item. In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Iron Maiden's landmark album Powerslave, a brand-new edition will be released as the band's first-ever zoetrope picture disc, featuring unique zoetrope artwork and the 2015 remastered audio of the album. The original sleeve has been expanded and contains new artwork and exclusive 'Powerslave at 40' liner notes from band founder Steve Harris. In addition, there is a Walmart Exclusive version that included a Lenticular 3D Album Art sized print.

Originally released in September 1984, Iron Maiden's fifth studio album Powerslave was another massive success for the band, charting all around the world including: U.K. #2, Switzerland #3, Norway #4, Germany #5, Sweden #5, New Zealand #11, Austria #15 Canada #21, US #21 and Australia #26, achieving multiple Gold and Platinum discs. It features the iconic singles '2 Minutes To Midnight' and 'Aces High' alongside fan favourites "Powerslave" and the epic "Rime of the Ancient Mariner." (continue)

Franz Ferdinand have announced details of their new studio album The Human Fear which will be released on Friday, January 10th 2025 on Domino. Produced with Mark Ralph, who previously worked with them on their 2013 album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, the album showcases Franz at their most immediate, upbeat and life-affirming, unashamedly going for the pop-jugular in classic Franz style. Along with the announcement comes the music video for first single "Audacious."

Recorded at AYR studios in Scotland, the 11-songs on The Human Fear all allude to some deep-set human fears and how overcoming and accepting these fears drives and defines our lives. (continue)

90's Alt. Rock heroes Letters to Cleo will be headed out on the road for their annual fall tour with stops on both coasts, ending with a two-night run at the Paradise in their hometown of Boston. This tour marks the 25th anniversary of the classic teen rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You, which catapulted the band into the pop culture zeitgeist. Letters to Cleo played themselves in the film, the favorite band of main character Kat Strafford played by Julia Stiles. The band performed two covers, Nick Lowes's "Cruel to Be Kind" and Cheap Trick's "I Want You To Want Me," which the New York Times' Amplifier newsletter recently named the number one most unforgettable song from 1999 Movies. To celebrate the anniversary the band will sell limited edition copies of the soundtrack on all tour stops. For the two Boston shows, the band will play an "At the Movies Set," that will feature fan-favorite Cleo songs that were featured in cult classic films, including The Craft, Jawbreaker, Josie & the Pussycats and 10 Things I Hate About You.

This pop culture anniversary comes on the heels of the 30th anniversary of the release of the band's debut album, Aurora Gory Alice, released in 1993. 2023 also saw the release of the band's first new music in 5 years, a split 7-inch featuring the new songs "Bad Man" on the A-Side and "It's Sunny Outside" that was released digitally and on tri-color splatter vinyl sold exclusively on their annual fall tour. The album's ten tracks see TRAMP re-imagining select cuts from his former band White Lion. "The Road to Valhalla" is accompanied by a new music video which is available below.

About the new album, Tramp shared this: "Would Leonardo Da Vinci have re-painted Mona Lisa, if he had gotten a second chance? That, we will never know, but I can say for sure, that I am beyond thrilled to have gotten a second chance to re-record and sing the songs I wrote between 1983 and 1990. (continue)

Cult Californian stoner rock band Hermano (fronted by Kyuss vocalist John Garcia) shares "Never Boulevard', the second track off "when the moon was high...", their first new record in fifteen years to be issued on October 4th through Ripple Music.

The new album "when the moon was high..." brings the moons of HERMANO back into alignment. As they embarked on the remix/remaster/reissue of their entire back catalog on Ripple Music, the band formed by John Garcia (Kyuss) on vocals, bassist Dandy Brown, guitarists Mike Callahan (Disengage) and David Angstrom (Supafuzz), and drummer Chris Leathers (Supafuzz) uncovered some valuable material while revisiting tapes, drives, and cherished memories accumulated over their 26 years of friendship. Taking back claim to the territory they had charted years ago, the upcoming limited-edition release of "when the moon was high..." features their first new music since 2007's "...Into The Exam Room", introducing two new studio tracks and four live songs (including a never-released track), showcasing the sticky-sweet and heavy blues riffs and tones that are unique to the veteran quintet. Buzzed-about UK band KillerStar today (September 11) roll out the video for a new version of the track "Falling Through" from their KillerStar Reimagined album, due out October 4 on vinyl and digitally. "The songs on the album are a mix of quite radical new versions of the original album and remixes, for which Mark Plati did much of the production work," says band co-founder Rob Fleming.

KillerStar is a new band led by Rob Fleming and James Sedge which features an array of David Bowie's most trusted collaborators: Mike Garson on piano, Earl Slick and Mark Plati on guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey and Tim Lefebvre on bass, Emm Gryner on backing vocals, and Donny McCaslin on saxophone. Collectively they have crafted a sound which fuses the scale of classic rock with sophisticated harmonies and elements of art rock. (continue)

Knocked Loose shares the new video for You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To tracks "Moss Covers All" and "Take Me Home" today. Directed and edited by Eric Richter alongside Knocked Loose's vocalist Bryan Garris, the new video is a twisted, black and white visual filmed in the band's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

The video arrives on the heels of the recent announcement that Danny Brown will be a special guest on select west coast dates of their forthcoming headline North American tour (their second of 2024), which kicks off this October with support The Garden, DRAIN, and Militarie Gun on select dates. The Get Up Kids recently digitally released their 25th-anniversary reissue of their genre-defining sophomore LP Something to Write Home About via Polyvinyl Record Co. Newly remastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound, the original album and a second LP-containing a mix of 12 rare or previously unreleased demos, including the four-track acoustic recordings by Matt Pryor-are out now at all streaming services. Its physical edition, due out on September 20th, features an expanded 28-page large format full-colour booklet with handwritten lyrics, photos, and more.

(hennemusic) Metallica is streaming pro-shot video of a performance of the "Master Of Puppets" album classic, "Battery", from an August 18 show in Minneapolis. MN. The opening track from the 1986 project was featured during the second of two shows at the city's U.S. Bank Stadium as part of a recently-completed run of North American series dates on the group's M72 World Tour.

Metallica's major label debut, "Master Of Puppets" became thrash metal's first platinum album on its way to US sales of more than 6 million copies. The band is also sharing video of a performance of the 2008 "Death Magnetic" track, "The Day That Never Comes", from the Minneapolis event. (continue)
