Bruce Springsteen's wife and longtime E Street Band-mate, Patti Scialfa, revealed in the new documentary, "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band", that she has been battling blood cancer.

She shared in the film, "In 2018, well, Bruce and I were doing a play on Broadway. I was diagnosed with early stage multiple myeloma. She said as a result that "touring has become a challenge for me". (continue)

Heart have shared the reschedules dates for their North American Royal Flush Tour, which was postponed earlier this year so that frontwoman Ann Wilson could undergo cancer treatment.

Guitarist and Ann's sister Nancy Wilson shared, "We are so so excited to resume this tour. We were just starting to fire on all cylinders and the vibe was entirely MAJOR. To be continued..." (continue)

ASK4 Entertainment took a new approach to unveiling the lineup for ShipRocked's all-star band The Stowaways for the January 19-25, 2025 cruise onboard Carnival Magic.

A few days before the public announcement, ShipRockers were invited to play an old school '80s-style computer video game called The Stowaways Scavenger Hunt Game that revealed the identities of the music artists confirmed for the 2025 Stowaways lineup. The game also features each artist's retro '80s voice when their character is discovered. (continue)

On October 17th, the seminal California-based punk label Hopeless Records will celebrate its 30th anniversary at The Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, when the Museum will host the last stop of the label's traveling road show, the "Hopeless Museum Exhibit." To celebrate The Punk Rock Museum's opening of Hopeless' exhibit, and the start of the When We Were Young festival, idobi Radio will present an opening party at the Museum on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, from 8 PM to 12 AM, featuring special appearances from Hopeless artists, VIP experiences, and more.

The Hopeless Museum exhibit's visit at The Punk Rock Museum follows its debut at The Valley Relics Museum in Los Angeles, a stop in NYC this June, and a very special visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland this August. In addition to hosting Hopeless' traveling exhibit, the Rock Hall also launched a semi-permanent exhibit last month dedicated to the label, which will be on display indefinitely, and is the Rock Hall's first exhibit dedicated to a modern indie label, or a label central to the new alternative scene. Ecuadorian-Finnish metal band Black Sun just released their self-titled album and to celebrate we asked guitarist Nino Laurenne to tell us about the single "Rise". Here is the story:

This is the only song on the album where we insisted on a real piano. I mean, come on-we're a Heavy Metal band. There shouldn't be any keyboards on this record at all, especially with a lineup that doesn't even include a keyboard player. But we wanted one track to stand out, to break away from the rest, so we decided to start it off with a piano intro. (continue)
