Morrissey shared an update on his official website late last week stating that a lucrative offer was made to launch a world tour of The Smiths next year and that the vocalist said yes to the offer, but Johnny Marr never responded.

Under the heading of "war is old, art is young," Morrissey's website shared, "In June 2024 AEG Entertainment Group made a lucrative offer to both Morrissey and Marr to tour worldwide as 'The Smiths' throughout 2025. (continue)

Texas duo MISSIO unleash the re-imagined single "Good Vibrations" featuring Wes Borland of the legendary nu metal band Limp Bizkit, whose additions allow the already anthemic, alt-electronic track to soar to new heights. The song, mixed by Diamond certified Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers), is available everywhere today.

"When we first found out that Wes was willing to work with us, we both freaked out. He's been a huge influence for us both growing up. After hearing his additions to the song, we sat back, and it felt surreal realizing that we got the opportunity to collaborate with someone as legendary as him. Judas Priest's Ian Hill says that the band's classic 1974 album "Rocka Rolla" has been reworked by their producer Tom Allom to have a more modern sound for an upcoming reissue.

Hill shared the news during an interview with Detroit radio station WRIF on the Takin' Rock With Meltdown show. He said, "It's just been re-engineered by Tom Allom after all of these years. "The multi-tracks were in remarkably good condition, and he's changed some of the sounds, made it more modern and obviously remixed it. (continue)

Frank Iero has released the highly anticipated deluxe 10-year anniversary edition of his debut studio album, Stomachaches, titled XNauseousX. Coinciding with the release, Frank Iero has also put out a new music video for his original song "2.5mg Just Ain't Enough For Me."

To create this, he sourced fan clips over the course of two days and received over 2,000 submissions. Select fan videos have been incorporated into the final product, resulting in a montage commemorating each of them and their support for his music. (continue)

JUNO Award-nominated band Valley have released their third album Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden and celebrate the release by sharing a live video for the track "Bop Ba".

Last fall, Valley were at a crossroads. They were in therapy, working the usual growing pains long-established bands face after years out on the road and the weight of viral success. While on tour with Dermot Kennedy, Rob Laska (lead vocalist), Alex Dimauro (bassist) and Karah James (drummer) found a beacon of hope: a forgotten demo of the song "Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden." Some Linkin Park fans are wondering if Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale will have something to do with the band's big announcement on September 5th after she shared a surprise cover of their classic hit "Crawling" around the same time their mysterious online countdown clock reached zero and started counting up.
