Fit For An Autopsy have shared a music video for their brand new single "Savior Of None / Ashes Of All". The song comes from the band's forthcoming album The Nothing That Is which is set to be released on October 25th.
On the new track, the band shares: "'Savior Of None / Ashes Of All' is a reflection of the inherent darkness surrounding one's struggle to find a place of peace within the pressures of existence. The root causes of suffering that leads us to depression, addiction, etc. can be ever-present in everyone. Whether or not it materializes in a controlling way, it certainly exists as a stain on the human psyche. It's a powerful thought knowing that we all share this potential to self destruct, and how that can bring comfort in not feeling alone, or more chaos to an already fractured human." (continue)

The Sublime family is mourning the loss of their close friend and Skunk Records label mate, Bert Susanka of The Ziggens, who passed away Saturday August 17th at the age of 62 after a battle with ALS. Leader and chief songwriter for the Huntington Beach, CA based band The Ziggens, Bert Susanka became close friends and label mates with Sublime in the early 90s. Nowell sang 'Bert Susanka made me drink' in their song "Greatest Hits" and covered The Ziggens' song "Big Salty Tears" on many occasions while touring in the 90s. Ziggens played with many notable Orange County bands including Sublime, No Doubt, Slightly Stoopid, Supernova, Mike Watt, The Vandals, Guttermouth, Voodoo Glowskulls, The Cadillac Tramps, and many, many more.
"Bert was loved by everyone who met him because he was genuine from the inside out, a real gentleman, father, husband, musician, comedian, and a true friend to anyone with a heart. He leaves behind a loving wife and family of his own, but also a loving family of Ziggens, worldwide! His compassion for his fellow man never faltered, he always had time for a friend or a person in need whether he knew them or not. He cared! I don't know how his human body contained all this love because he had so much of it for everyone. The only way to lift a heavy heart is with wings. Bert now has wings and he is lifting us all so let's celebrate this man, his life, his legacy and family, and the love that he has shown us all! Be happy for him in his eternal journey." - Sublime's Bud Gaugh (continue)

The first digital single will be "Neverland," due out on August 28, followed by "Ask for Jill" on September 25. Both will be available on streaming services. When The dB's released their debut Stands for deciBels in January 1981, critics were virtually unanimous. The New York City (by way of North Carolina) quartet had delivered a set of songs that was smart and irresistible, rooted in rock traditions yet fresh and new. Intelligent lyrics, inventive melodies and sharp hooks were wedded to a forward-looking musical sensibility. Drawing influences from both well-known and obscure-but-great sources, The dB's earned widespread praise. What they didn't find, however, were significant sales. Stands for deciBels was released in the UK, and available in the US only as a pricey import. (continue)

Davey Jones tells us about his single "Woman I Love" Here is the story: While most songs are probably intentional in their creation, "Woman I Love" was the opposite.
During a live performance, my drummer had to fix an issue with his drum set. Not wanting dead air and silence during a set, I randomly started playing a riff on the guitar. Surprised by the uniqueness of what I had just made up, I turned to the drummer who was ready to finally ready to begin playing and told him just to follow me. What followed was what became a crowd favorite, and "Woman I Love" was born. (continue)
