Tim Bowness has shared a music video for his brand new track "Lost/Not Lost". The song comes from his forthcoming album, " Powder Dry," which is set for release on 13th September on Kscope.

Speaking about the single, he said "Both musically and lyrically, Lost / Not Lost is the most direct song on Powder Dry. It's a straight-ahead Electro-Pop piece with an optimistic lyric embracing escape and a spirit of abandon. It provides a sharp contrast to some of the bleak sentiments and troubled tales found elsewhere on the album. Like the rest of the music, it came together in a very natural and instinctive way. Clearly, I was in a rare good mood that day!" (continue)

State Champs released a new music video for their track "Too Late To Say." This song showcases a refreshing new sound for the group, bringing out their vulnerable side. While it sounds youthful and polished, it's a deeper track that lyrically talks about being scared and the fear of losing yourself. The music video embodies those feelings, as the band is seen performing off the back of a fast-moving truck - a metaphor for moving too quickly through life.

This release comes just after the band announced their fifth studio album and self-titled record, State Champs, to be released on November 8 via Pure Noise Records. Last week, "Too Late To Say" was released as a single on all streaming platforms alongside "Silver Cloud." In the music video for that song, singer Derek DiScanio is seen breaking the cycle of a mundane, unfulfilling life with a cast of characters played out by the rest of the band. (continue)

Skilled laborers and tradespeople have long been the backbone of America, shaping the economic health and hard-working spirit of the country. However, the U.S. continues to face a widening skilled labor shortage, with young workers experiencing societal barriers to entering the trades, as 79% of young Americans say their parents want them to pursue a college education after high school and only 5% say the same about vocational school.1 Carhartt, America's iconic workwear brand, is continuing to help eliminate barriers and close the skilled trades gap this Labor Day by dedicating its Fall 2024 "For the Love of Labor" grant to support Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation and its Metallica Scholars Initiative.

Created by the members and management of Metallica, All Within My Hands is a non-profit, philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting workforce education by connecting future workers with trade programs in their local community. Carhartt's For the Love of Labor grant donation will benefit the foundation's Metallica Scholars program to support 60 community colleges across all 50 states - including the 18 new schools that joined the program in July 2024. Funding provided by Carhartt will support not only school tuition at local community colleges, but also wraparound services like childcare and transportation to eliminate barriers that may prevent candidates from pursuing skilled trades education.
