AC/DC's blockbuster 1980 album "Back In Black" was just certified 27 times platinum in the U.S., making the record the third biggest selling album in U.S. history, according to the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA).
The organization revealed the new certification on Wednesday (August 21st). Platinum honors are awarded for 1 million units in sales with "Back In Black" now reaching that goal 27 times. (continue)
Motley Crue have shared their cover of the Beastie Boys hit "Fight For Your Right (To Party) to mark the news that they will be releasing the "Cancelled EP" on October 4th.
The new EP will feature the brand new Beastie Boys cover as well as the band's previously released single "Dogs Of War", as well as the EP's title track "Cancelled" and it will be the first release of under the group's new deal with the Big Machine Label Group. (continue)
Journey founder / guitarist Neal Schon took to social media on Thursday (August 22nd) to share the news with fans that he and longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain have agreed to bring in an "impartial" person to help them sort out their current legal disputes.
Cain recently took legal action against Schon, claiming that band money was not being used properly, something that Neal has strongly denied. He shared the following update via Facebook over the new step they are taking to settle their differences (continue)
The Scorpions were set to return home to Germany for a string of shows next month, but they have been forced to cancel the shows so that lead guitarist Matthias Jabs can undergo surgery and recover from injuries suffered during an accident.
The band shared, "We are deeply sorry, especially of course Matthias Jabs, that due to the accident of our friend and Scorpions lead guitarist, the five concerts of our Germany tour cannot take place as planned in September and in close cooperation with the tour organizer, we will announce news as soon as possible.
